David Carson is an historical American graphic designer of 90’. He is known for his particular treatment of typography through a grunge style. 

Marvin Scott Jarrett launched Ray Gun magazine in 1992 with him as artistic director. « Ray Gun » was an American alternative rock and roll magazine through which he broke the rules of typography. Indeed, he plays with reability, overlay and reading direction.
