Jean René, as known as JR, is a contemporary French artist. He is recognised worldwide for his particular technique that combines collage and photography. From Paris to Rio de Janeiro, as well as across the American-Mexican border, JR pays particular attention to the locality of each of his projects.

Beyond creating or contributing to committed projects whose ideas he strongly supports, JR considers the city as an open-air museum. By imposing his photographs in the eyes of all, he wants to highlight faces that we are not used to seeing.
