Inès Longevial is a French painter born in 1990. She explores visions of feminity and womanhood by zeroing in on the facial expressions of women. This is the line of her work. Basque and Spanish origin, she has started to paint at the age of 7. She is inspired by nature and the South of France where she grew up. More artistically, by Picasso, Matisse, Cézanne and even Almodóvar, whose colours and lights she says she finds missing in the Parisian greyness.

In a way, Inès Longevial seeks to offer an alternative to the representation of women on social networks. Not wishing to gender her paintings or give them a skin colour, she prefers to play with light and colour.

Her notoriety is growing thanks to her huge community on Instagram (279k followers), and her different exhibitions, from Paris to Los Angeles. Last one, New-York in October 2019.
