Mitsuo Katsui works are focused on the idea of light and how it can be combined with technology. Therefore, he has made a name for himself in the field of graphic design, for more than half a century.

Mitsuo Katsui was born in 1931 in Tokyo. Graphic designer and art director. Founded "The Katsui Design Office" freelance in 1961 and exhibited throughout his life in many Tokyo galleries. Among other things, he contributed to the design of the manual of the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games. Making all his career in Japan, he has distinguished himself in publishing, printing, and branding. Mitsuo Katsui received the Mainichi Industrial Design prize in 1965. And has gone on to win many more awards, including the Japan Advertising Artists Club award and gold prizes from graphic design biennials in Poland and Mexico.
